Noticed we've had Techno Tues which i fully support. it got me thinking about more downtempo electronic music I love .
(i'm mostly still stuck in the 90's)
Here's a small selection from my favourites

Totally obsessed with this tune at the moment

What are your favroutie downtemp electronic/bleepy/atmospheric kinda tunes?
Theres some previously unreleased FSOL ‘Accelerator’ era bits due out soon.

Username checks out
Where do I start?
Craven Faults - gives every impression of being an old skool raver, now working at much lower tempos. This is my favourite of his, in particular track 3, Weets Gate
https://cravenfaults.bandcamp.com/album/enclosures
James Holden - the Inheritors
I honestly think this is one of the few more recent albums that can hold up to the mid 90s electronica greats. Holden did another album this year which is good too, but this is the one for me
https://jamesholden.bandcamp.com/track/blackpool-late-eighties
Speaking of mid 90s greats, here's one of the high points for me, just because no-one has posted it yet:
https://autechre.bandcamp.com/track/clipper
Anthony Naples - Take Me With You is an album that makes me wish I was still of an age to be finding myself slightly discombobulated in a stranger's living room at 5am. It drifts through space, constantly making you think it's gonna head off into some clubby beats, before making a sharp turn into something else entirely. Ace fun
https://anthonynaples.bandcamp.com/album/take-me-with-you
No idea who this is by, on Ilian tape, but if you like detroity 90s melodic ambient / electro, this is for you:
https://iliantape.bandcamp.com/album/itx022-mpu101
I think this is my favourite mix of the year. Bit retro, mid-tempo, synthy-electro-krautrocky and minimal.
Was perfect for driving across France, and would probably be awesome at an afterparty too, if I still did that kind of thing.
Anyone else notice that Hawtin re-released his very rare Concept 1 series on bandcamp? Some proper deep gear here. Not really techno, but an obvious marker point for how he got from the dancefloor stuff on Musik to the absolute chasms of Consumed:

One more and then I'll stop. Cong Burn tape 10, by Howes. Slow, weird, chugging techno that gradually undergoes a complete dissolution into almost nothing. One of my favourite releases of the last 5 years:

Couple of newies if anyone fancies such a thing
Thread starts with what is to me possibly the greatest electronic track ever made (Simon From Sydney). *applause*M
yes yes! its a stormer. . Was thinking today its probably my favourite electornic album
I also love this one. W
Would love to hear these tracks on some massive system with loads of bass
Thread title made me hear this, then spend 10 mins trying to remember the name of it
This is great. Haven't heard this before
There's a playlist on Amazon Music called Hypnotic and Melodic. I listen to that a lot.

This is great. THanks for the share. Pretty cheap considering
Thanks for this thread, loads of great tunes- some I know already and plenty of stuff that’s new to me!
Here’s another good one…

Yeah, thanks for this, I can't really add anything but it's spot on for me at the moment. I love Boards, James Holden etc, any similar musical threads are much appreciated
Quite like this, just need to errrmmm completely ignore the anti-covid/vax/lockdown/whatever theme running through the song titles 😉

Looking forward to listening to this lot later - a few to throw out as well. I think I've been waiting for a new BoC album for longer than a new STW Forum 🙁
Odyssey - Rival Consoles
Arterial - Lusine
Ultra Truth - Daniel Avery

The Lisbon Maru - F Buttons
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWDRPf35BMQ
Approves of thepurist's selections. The new Lusine album, Long Light is a beauty (features singing!)
Also on an almost classical tip is Rone (not the forum member!) "L(oo)ping" - I bought the CD so I can listen all in one go
or, if you want the full hour
https://youtu.be/ix1qgFfR9_s
Mr Mitch's awfully named alter ego DJ Cuddles' new stuff is nice n bleepy
This is older, but the album for me is reminiscent of everything that made Warp Records special. Unique 🙂
Definitely on he downtempo side of things
Yesterday at work Windows Media Player made an excellent 45 minute downtempo electronic/bleepy/acid shuffle through some of my MP3 collections.

coming outta sunny East Kilbride//Check out the whole label in fact if you like downtempo bleeps, ..Pub rules
Downtempo, maybe not 303 bleepy:
Some bleeps:
An associate used to perform under the moniker ‘dj slackarse’.
When the crowd wasn’t dancing on the tables, they’d go nuts for this:
And anything by ‘Loop Guru’ should be pretty chilled.
https://chienandalou.bandcamp.com/album/isolation
Album of electronica/bleepy/ambient/slightly weird stuff that I did a couple of years ago. Free to download of you wish.
If it's 303s, then Hardfloor need mentioning. They did stuff under the name Dadamnphreknoizephunk, which is nearly all made on 303s, as always for them, but is more laidback with breaks rather than being acid. I've only got this one EP... https://www.discogs.com/release/929-Hardfloor-Presents-Dadamnphreaknoizphunk-Volume-2
Closer to home a 90's classic you have to put on is Digital Justice's "Theme From It's All Gone Pearshaped." It's a live 303 jam, just like we used to listen to in the chill out room. People forget that 303s enabled this kind of electronic music to be live and improvised... and common place. https://www.discogs.com/release/1135517-Digital-Justice-Its-All-Gone-Pear-Shaped
I'll dig out videos later.

We saw a lad called Arms and Sleepers supporting Hidden Orchestra a few weeks back, he is now on firm rotation in the house. And seeing as I don't think anyone mentioned them, Hidden Orchestra as well!
@eskay. Loving that om unit album. Didn't know he'd done a downtempo. Do love that dub techno acid sound
Forgot this one, but I absolutely love it. Speedy J and George Issakidis podcast from about 2009ish, down in the murk and sludge of 105bpm techno.
Deep, acidy, slightly unsettling bad trip vibes, would make an amazing film soundtrack
https://soundcloud.com/jochempaap/slow-****ed-up-get-the-curse-podcast-mix?in=visiophone/sets/set
@trickydisco - good isn't it, he has done a couple of follow up albums (versions 1 & 2). He is from our neck of the woods as well.
This is a really nice mix towards the slower end of Acid
https://www.mixcloud.com/TobiasBassline/a-voltage-controlled-lovestory/
Sent this to a mate who loves this stuff. He said this should be on here:
None of the above genres, but Techno is a close cousin right? And any excuse for Techno....

Anything by Luke Vibert obvs
Met him in a club once, he was over the moon cos he'd found a mint 12" green vinyl copy of Pac Jam by Jonzun Crew, nice guy
Down tempo is all very well but.....
Ok, down tempo this time.... I might finally be on the right page
#grimep thank you for posting Autechre Warp tapes. That’s been the best two hours of my day, brilliant sounds 🤩
#grimep thank you for posting Autechre Warp tapes. That’s been the best two hours of my day, brilliant sounds
You're very welcome, I much prefer their older stuff so it was a real treat when I found it
bit of a tangent sorry
Q - Mental Cube - was on the first Breaks Bass & Bleeps compilation (I had on tape). As was this
Just going back through this thread, I see a few old faves
Speaking of mid 90s greats, here’s one of the high points for me, just because no-one has posted it yet:> https://autechre.bandcamp.com/track/clipper
Think that's my favourite one of theirs too, played it endlessly
Name dropping, Mark Bell from LFO once offered to loan me his TR-808 as I'd done him a favour, but I was worried about how/when I'd have to get it back to him so didn't take him up - added to my list of life's great regrets.... sent me a signed cassette instead.
Spanners, another firm fave, still got pretty much all of their stuff apart from this one, but at least there's YouTube- I always forget how good Blast Off is:->
Probably more techno than acid, but check out platipus records..
Also this..soo many classics..
Or for something a bit more jazzy/chill out..

Agreed, that's flippin great. Had it on a loop all afternoon at work yesterday.
Brilliant though they undoubtedly are, Basic Channel records surely cannot be described as downtempo!
The Guvnor put his name to a load of things that probably fit this thread title better, but I never tire of this:
Pye Corner Audio, very reminiscent of Plastikman back in the 90’s before Hawtin disappeared up his own arse, his recent two ep’s are essential listening
Not really downtempo but figured this was the only music thread to post it in.
Enfant Sauvage : 58500, sometimes a track just makes you feel happy and contented, and this is one of those tracks.
And for a slightly different take, here is Daniel Avery’s remix of it.
Love that Roy of the Ravers track @trickydisco!
Nice downtempo live set, gets pretty dark and hard, nice pace though.
(24) Andy Stott Boiler Room London Live Set - YouTube
Love a bit of Andy Stott, his “We Come Together” album is excellent
Agree @somafunk! Hes seriously talented, shame he doesn’t play live very often. I saw him Glasgow about 10-years ago but not sure if he’s been up since.
