[Closed] downloading/ripping iPlayer radio programmes that are not already podcasts.....

i want to download a couple of radio programmes for a long flight tomorrow that are not available as BBC podcasts....

is there any way of doing this?

specifically want the Jethro Tull concert and Craig Charles show.

any help muchly appreciated... cheers.

Not sure if there is an automated way of doing it however Audacity (free download) can record what's going through your sound card on its way to your speakers but that would of course mean listening to the whole show(s) in real time.

Get_iPlayer will do this for you. Just Google it for details of how to install/use.

As dvatcmark said, get_iPlayer is what you want. It's harder to use since BBC changed some of their setup, so you'll need to be happy with using command line. To get a radio show using this software, you type something like "get_iplayer --type=radio --pid=xyz123" (without the quotes, and where xyz123 is the unique episode reference found from the iPlayer webpage for the show you want).

If you have a Dropbox account, I can let you have any Craig Charles show from the last year, many of which have been edited to remove news & trailers.

When it got too much hassle I changed to "Get iPlayer Automator" which picks up the current web page. It works quite nicely but is only mac as far as I'm aware.
