Thinking for holiday coming up - can I download shows from a Prime account and then watch later offline on a macbook pro?

It seems that I cannot do this with Netflix (although other devices can) but the advice is confusing me for Prime?

Anybody done this?

Thanks

Not directly on the MacBook as there is no Prime app for macOS.
You can do it on phone/iPad though. Crap really.

You can watch stuff but you cannot download as you need the app to do that - and they only have the app for iOS devices (iPads etc), not macOS (Macbook Pros etc)

Simplest solution is just to torrent the show, I don't feel bad as I have a Prime / Netflix subscription, so I'm just getting round the lack of an app for the Mac....

footflaps - luddite here. Torrent means download for watching offline later or streaming from an 'unofficial' source and watching live?

Torrent means download for watching offline later

Yes. Normally means pirating, but I figure if you've paid for the subscription service it doesn't really matter that much...

You can stream with a torrent client if your broadband is fast enough. I do not encourage or condone this as it is very naughty and frowned upon by the mods who just might be looking here 😀

what is a good torrent app / programme to use?

ie. you'll have to do your own research (hit the.... dark web... ) as the mods will delete torrent talk.

Ah, naughty step for me then...

I'd only want it for offline watching of subscription services that I already pay for as FF mentions above. Hadn't realised how useless the Mac is for this stuff.

You can't really blame Apple for it - it's Amazon that are to be blamed for not having developed a native app for macOS.
