Hello,
Never really been in the position (time wise) to watch semi finals but actually have some time today but I can't find a live broadcast anywhere. I have checked discovery+ and youtube but can't see anything.

Is semi finals actually broadcast?

Can someone remind what the point is of the semi finals? Guessing they're not the qualifying as that takes place before.

To give the also-rans an illusion of competition without any of that dreadful "airtime" for their piffling sponsors to worry about

Track conditions looking pretty excellent for the Junior women, track has so many high speed but super technical sections, will be interesting to see how this pans out at the sharp end. Could quite easily get a bit of rain judging by all the cloud and mist at the top.

Yo reduce the field to a sensible size to make for good entertainment as the back to back finals only contain serious contenders

One of the best saves ever I reckon,  still smashed the corner and straight back on the gas! Spectacular

Max A by contrast looks so efficient and like he’s not really going that quick, reminded me of Minnaar at his peak, looks almost slow until the split comes up.

Superb run by Dak. Track seems to be deteriorating now, wonder if his time will hold.

LOL - nobody can say "F***" in a live interview quite like a Frenchman 🤣

Have they binned Ric from the commentary?

He was " ill" last week but he did the XC commentary yesterday but wasn't there for the DH today

@alpin glad I wasn't the only one caught out! It was only when my mate who's not so keen 🤔messaged me about Valli Holly's  crash did I realise 🙄

“ Wait…. This the final finals or the semi finals?

Jess B won the semis comfortably. Yesterday

If you’re really not all that interested in the sport and just catch up as and when you’ve got the time, here’s a groundbreaking thought: stay away from threads or internet sources in general that are discussing the race and stop being so self important?

Superb to see Tahnee get it today, Pierron too, although Dak absolutely smashed it compared to everyone, to see someone come down and school him on how to ride it was really something, AP laid down one of the true classics today. Amazing stuff. Really looking forward to seeing JG back on the bike again and fighting it out against them all.

Pierron's run was one of the best I've ever seen for flat out speed and flow. Reminded me of sam hill 2008, before the turn obvs

I was sitting stuck in traffic in Newcastle trying to get one of the dodgy streaming sites to work on my phone and it started up just in time to see AP drop in.

That was one of the greatest winning runs of all time.

Pierron was utterly sublime. To see him lay best part of ten seconds (!!) into both Bruni’s and Dunnes time was absolutely jaw dropping. Proper legend stuff. Coming back and destroying the field like that after such a potentially life changing injury, just wow. And as has been said, no one says Fk on a live broadcast quite like him. Kudos to whoop/uci for leaving that in the highlights video.
