I have the remastered Doom for PS4 and have played it previously without issue. However, I had a system crash over Christmas which meant rebuilding the HD and losing all my games and data (no big issue really). However, I reinstalled Doom and went through the image set-up sequence (ie, making the screen contrast output optimal). However, I clearly did something wrong and the output is really dim (almost unusably so). I went into the game video settings and there is no way of re-optimising there so I deleted all game settings and started again, however there was no option to re set-up the video output. I am stumped as to what to do next to get the game in a playable set-up. Other games are playing as normal so it's 100% a game issue, not a console issue.
Help!
(And thank you).
Delete your  game save?
Aha - restored it to the original game settings (without installing the latest update) and the contrast was *just* enough to spot another option (that was completely hidden before) to reset to default. Now time to get shit-scared all over again...
🙂
Reminds me I have it on XBone, still not finished it...
