You know what I mean.
I think it's the typography. In a very subtle way, it feels all wrong. Like I am in the wrong place.
Will it get better with familiarity? I don't think it will. Something's not right.
Uncanny valley.

Yeh, the text size is awful. It looks normal in the reply box but when it's posted on screen it looks like it's been written by a child.
It's too white and hard on the eyes.
All the adverts have gone though, which is a bonus.

Looks fine to me, I wouldn’t want to read a book using the same font, but it’s a web forum, not War and Peace.
I spent nearly twenty-five years involved in typography and page-design and layout, and it reads ok, especially now the weight has been increased a bit, I was struggling to read it at first, but now it looks ok.
Give it a week, and I’ll bet you won’t even remember what it used to look like.
I hate myself for starting this thread.
I don't like it. I've been on here for yonks (since well before the hack) but am now rapidly going off it.

I've noticed exactly the same issue reading your posts. You say they look OK in the reply box?
👿
It’s not even worth discussing anymore. They like it, so it’s staying - we’ve said enough that it doesn’t adapt correctly to different screen types, but we’re all wrong, so back in yer box fellas.
(typed on my iPad, where it looks nice)

If only there were fifteen other threads discussing the forum changes.
