Feel for the guy. The barrier clearly started closing before the red light showed. Plus it hardly stayed red for longer than 2 cars to pass.
We had an incident at work with a car barrier closing on a colleagues car when the barrier started closing on a green light but turned red, albeit too late. All caught on CCTV and work admitted liability and paid for all damages. Think this fella may have a claim pending!

Probably wrong but it made me laugh. It's like he becomes a wereram for a sec and decides to head wrestle that bastard barrier.

The barrier dropping after the car has gone through is not an entirely unpredictable situation though 🙂

Think regardless of the lights colour, the barrier was coming down.

Was he leaving work? because he was in a real hurry.

I'm wondering if he even saw the barrier coming down; his head was down and he was looking straight ahead, probably saw the car go through and thought it was clear.
Found to the contrary the hard way. I lol'd. 😆

He miscalculated. His fault. I expect the company asked him to pay for the repairs.

From the speed he was going I would imagine this is his usual method of getting through the barrier rather than stopping and swiping like everyone else. One of those miscalculations - you know it's going to be tight so you accelerate hard trying to make it but obviously significantly enhancing the pain penalty if you don't! 😀

I suspect there is more to this.
Why is the rider already unclipped approaching the barrier?
