You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Whilst we get an extra hours sleep on Sunday, spare a thought for the National Trust Volunteers who work tirelessly through the night to move the stones back 1 hour at various stone circles around the country side. This is done twice a year to make sure the stones align correctly with the sun.
Respect - I'll start my NT subscription back up again...
Time this nonsense stopped. It's dark in the morning anyway. Think of the carbon footprint of all that mechanised lifting.
Also spare a thought for all the dyslexics whose cocks go black tonight.
BST ends ,bring on the facial hair.
😆 👍
Is there actually a valid reason any more for the clocks changing?
Remember: Spring Back, Fall Forward!
Not only are the clocks going back an hour tonight, our club rides are starting 30 minutes early tomorrow morning. What can go wrong?

Brexit innit.
The heart attack stats are surprising!
At 15 and 13, my kids need telling to spend an extra hour in bed. Getting them out is the problem!
Not what you want hear @goldfish24 but it does change.
Never understood why it happens at 2am, surely there is a better time to be changing clocks?
RD’s post is a joke, right? Please let it be a joke! 😂
ps. I came here to post photos of today’s ride… is there a thread for this weekend??
Im sparing a thought for all the shift workers who, while i get an extra hour in bed, get an extra our in work 🥰

The last pattern I worked was notable for the person getting the short BST shift also had the long GMT shift. A remarkable stroke of luck for management and wages!
Getting a preview of how GMT will look at this time from tomorrow, been very overcast this afternoon, no chance of getting the 1750 BST sunset... At this rate it will be dark by then. 🙁

I too would like to know this. Just seems like more traditional bollocks that needs to be stopped.

Well, last time I was around Avebury at this time of year, there was a lot of heavy lifting gear parked up in nearby carparks. And that is Avebury in the photo.
Has to be heavy lifting gear to convince the tourists - the ‘stones’ are glassfibre replicas because the original stones were broken up to build the houses in the village.
