My mate is buying an 1800's property in Huddersfield and could do with a recommendation for a good surveyor for a full structural. Any recommendations?
Their mortgage provider will almost certainly have an approved list that he'll need to pick from
Anything you'd recommend to look out when looking at the list perchy? Specific quals or experience?
Not really. They're much of a muchness generally. Like most places, each firm will employ a range of surveyors and it's a lottery who you get....could be a superhero, could be an eejit.
As long as they have Professional Indemnity insurance then you're as protected as you're able to be.
You might have mortgage issues if you go off their approved list of firms though.
