Making the move from sole trader to ltd company. Quite specialist work with only a few customers at present so just want to register the domain, get email set up and maybe a basic web page (not critical at the moment).
Who's currently the one(s) to go with? Plenty of email space (couple of Gb on imap)would be useful.

Yeah, some ****wit has been cybersquatting on kinetics.co.uk for the past decade - I did offer him £1000, he wasn't interested.
Try Jimdo - German company but offer domain registration, webhosting etc. Plus it's incredibly simple to use - you can have your first site built and running within an hour or two - www.jimdo.com

Do not use Alphadex... They cut us off, why?? Because they took over our account and didn't have all our details.. So instead of phoning us, or looking at the website they host for our details, they cut us off..
Just use a cheap domain reg company like 123-Reg, if its just a very basic webpage you want maybe even use them for hosting. I'd go with Google for your email, for £3.30/month you get Mail, Drive and Apps with a combined storage of 30GB

I would suggest to get the domain registered from http://www.123-reg.co.uk/.
You can then choose to host your website and its email with a reliable web hosting provider. I would recommend a few hosts such as http://www.rshosting.com or http://www.webhost.uk.net with whom I have had a pleasant experience and a very fast website with decent uptime. I have used their email servers, and they have been very reliable too.

I've recently found Posilan to be really good (very helpful in setting up forwarding etc.) with a new domain I registered and I've moved my other domains to be with them now.
GoDaddy seem pretty good to me...
UK number so free calls on the mobile even though you get through to the States - and you do get through, and tech support are very good.
123-Reg are the default go-to for domains. They'll do everything you need of them. Beware of some of the big names offering stupidly cheap prices...they will make it back up every time you need to make a change to anything.
TSO hosts mentioned above I've used for personal stuff after they were recommended on here and they seem decent. Competitive prices for small projects. There's loads of hosting companies out there though.
I'd probably use Google Apps for email. You know at least they're gonna be pretty reliable, unlike some others. We use it at work and I've never noticed any downtime in 5 years.
