A lot of you might know Dom from the Repair Shop with Jay Blades.
It's only recently I discovered he had a YouTube channel so I thought I'd share here.

He does all sorts. Big into Land Rovers.

Really clever bloke but not annoyingly so 😂 Used to ride BMX.

He's building a neon sign in this series which is interesting watching.

I think the third video will take us through the making of the actual glass tube.

Part 1

Part 2

He's an interesting guy, apparently was brought in as the set designer for the Repair Shop and ended up the other side of the camera.

Jay Blades back story is quite well known now, I suspect there's some other good stories behind the Repair Shop team and their skills.

Yeah for sure.
I've ended up following most of them on Instagram and it's really interesting to see some of the back story to what they do on the show.

I like his work, except for one issue that does annoy me a little bit- he will use an angle grinder in situations where picking up and using a hacksaw properly would be easier and likely more accurate. I guess it’s for the visual impact and he seems skilled in its use
Edit: I suppose it’s the Design and Technology teacher coming out after a few years away from schools

To be fair I almost never pick up my hacksaw when my angle grinder is right there.
The excitement of creating sparks might have something to do with it 😊

His series on resurrecting the Ranallah company and casting new English wheels is fantastic. I doubt he'll ever make any money from it, but his passion for preserving engineering history is remarkable.

Suzie Fletcher is another specialist who has had a fantastic life (but tinged with sadness).

I think it amazing her and bother Steve both have ended up at the top of there respective but very different fields.

Yes, her back story was hinted at when she restored a western saddle a lady had brought back from a failed relationship in the States and I looked it up then.

Amazes me how the dust in the Repair Shop comes out my TV. Though I'd like less back story and more repairing I think.
