Hi All
I am hoping to head to the Dolomites in early summer. I would welcome peoples experiences and some advice on where to stay, guiding options or riding packages?
Cheers
Ed
I'm going to Dolomitti Paganella in the summer. theres 3-4 days riding if you include all the longer trails out of the park which look great, Im doing a roadtrip & and camping as I go but if anyone has a recommendation for a campsite here that would be great.
We were in Canezei last summer when the EWS was on. That was a smart place & there seemed to be lots of trails. We did a guided ride of Sella Ronda tour which was ace - we’d never have found half the trails we rode.
We were out last year, based in Canezei for the EWS with the camper. The campsite in the town centre is good and most of the trails can be found on the map from the bike shop including the EWS ones. Unless you are going out to watch the racing this year it may be best to avoid that week as the main lift and trails are closed except for the competitors until after the race.
If you are in any way road curious then I can't recommend enough a) the Tre Cima de Lavaredo climb and b) the Maratona route.
I stayed in Cortina which is pretty classy, though as our polish waitress said, "it has everything and it has nothing".

Corvara also a nice little town on the Sellaronda route.
Just giving this a boost for Saturday afternoon.
Stayed at the campsite on Toblacher See when cycling Munich to Venice three years ago. Stunning location but rather pricey. 34 Euros a night for two of us in one tent on a sloping field.
