6 months old, but new to us, rescued from Bosnia.

It's early days, day 3 to be precise, but she is already settling in really well.

Totally adorable, soft and gentle, absolutely gorgeous. I could carry om!

Now let's see if I can attach images!

Welcome Ella! A lovely looking dog too, but you really should get some edging done and that bench needs scrubbing down and re-treating.

Cheers dogbone.

Just had a bizarre stw moment!
I could login, comment on other posts but as soon as I go to this post I got logged out. Anyways I appear to be back.

Yes, the bench possibly does need some love, but for now it all goes to Ella.

I can't wait to go on a real walk and look forward to the training.

We promised ourselves a dog 30 years ago, but always said no whilst we both work.

Still can't suss photos from my phone.

But here is an album link https://photos.app.goo.gl/roxc59Z5ywYyENMj7

Nice looking beast - especially the front leg 🙂
Looks like some sort of collie cross, so you'll have your hands full with that one 😀

Trickster

6 weeks into owning our Bosnian rescue, the Trickster, on Tuesday she fell ill, today she had a spinal tap and MRI it's looking like Meningomyelitis which at least can be treated. It's been heartbreaking seeing her suffer this week.

Give your dog an extra ear scratch from me tonight.

Hi Ella

Dogs are cool.

What is she? Part collie?

After a pretty horrible week, for us and the dog, including spinal taps, and MRI and lots of investigations it seems that my 8 month old rescue was incredibly ill as a result of her love for the finer things in life, but that I mean her love of a gob full of cat poo. Toxoplasma gondii lives in cats and the eggs come through in their poo, presents like Meningitis but isn't.

Keep an eye on what they are eating out there and give them all a treat from me!

@toby1, hugs all round for you. Really hope she is recovering. What charity did yours come through. Ours was hopevms

But also a good warning. We have 2 cats. Introductions still in phase 1 but no altercations. She does snuffle in the grass all the time. On investigation the other day she appeared to be after beatles.

Mix. Definitely 80% collie. No idea about the rest. Something bigger I think.

Thanks @MadBillMcMad, she does seem to be on the mend slowly. She was from Action Aid for Animals, but this certainly doesn't reflect on them.

I think ours is a collie and possibly Tornjak (Croatian Shepard) mix, so when she's back to full health she'll be a like a big collie but with quite different features.

Our "Bosnian immigrant Pup" Luna also arrived last weekend via the charity Fetcherdog.

She is settling in well and currently is being bossed by our two cats.

Good to hear @toby1.

Our 2 cats a boss as well.
Ella ignores them generally until there is a sudden movement.

Tonight one is asleep on the settee, the other comes in. Ella woofs and skips towards them wagging. The cats don't even budge.

The dog stops dead like what is going on man.

She also got really confused with barking dogs on the telly. She growled and ran in to the kitchen to see where the other dog was. Bless she hasn't seen TV before.

Nice looking dog MadBill 🙂 I always wanted one but like you, not while we were working. Got cats instead.

Some of those pictures you've linked to are geotagged, in case you weren't aware.
