Looking to spend a few days with Mrs A, 2 spaniels and the campervan in Wales next week.  Probably the southern half.

Looking for some good hiking (2-3hr walks; we tend to do 2 a day to keep the dogs happy), ideally mixed terrain so woodland, rivers and hills.  Camping - we're campsite campers but like the less regimented, quieter sites (with showers!).  Def want to avoid the crowds.

Any good start points / recos /areas to focus on.  I motorbiked around Wales a few years back, thought it was v beautiful but my memory for anything specific is rubbish, so need help!

Thanks

Haven't lived there for 38 years but this can't have changed much. Pletty of campsites but I can't recommend one.

At the Aberystwyth end walk along the beach pretending to be the members of Led Zepelin walking the dogs and muses.

https://www.cocoswildcamp.com/ and plas y cadno campsite in llanwyrtd wells are both great basic sites.

Having.lived and travelled all over Wales, the Llanwyrtd area is fast becoming my favourite. Amazing scenery and quiet.
