Does anyone else get a bit teary when it comes to a good dog story?

I have gone through decades without being sentimental, but I just watched a pretty sentimental film about a dog with my kids, and I am glad the lights were off.

In retrospect, I remember loving dog stories as a child, and would feel quite emotional in response to Lassie, Big Red, Old Yeller... You name it. If it was about a dog, I was mush.

Struggled through the last couple of dog films that I watched. That was mostly because they were in French though

This is our dog story.
This guy was abandoned and ended up in Manchester dogs home. He was there for 3-4months and really struggled with his time there. For some reason nobody wanted him till we visited and he found us. He's changed our lives.

Turns out after having his DNA tested that he's a super rare (in the UK) purebred Karelian Bear Dog.

My dogs a ****, he regularly brings a tear to my eye when thinking of his complete idiocy with fellow dogs who hed like to kill all of! I want him to be friendly but it's like Danny Dyer has been put in the hulks body. I and every human he ever comes across (unless they are wielding a dog) love him though, so that more than anything makes me a bit teary as he misses out on playing so much! Beach time is particularly hard!

'A Dog's Way Home' by any chance?
