Any recommendations for a quiet, dog-friendly site within short walking distance of a beach for the dog?
He's old and infirm, so not up to a major hike anymore 🙁
Just need basic but clean facilities sufficient for a week's stay in early Summer (Tent).

Basically, if Cae Du Farm were uprooted and transported to Cornwall, where would it be?

A good pub with food close-by would be a +ve

Surely all camp sites are dog friendly?

I love this place http://www.churchtownfarm.org.uk/

The site may be a bit big for you but it's no holiday park and only a few minutes walk to the beach, and the red river pub in Gwithian is great.

Lots of Cornish beaches don't allow dogs during the day so maybe best to check on that beforehand

Thanks ads, that looks like it's worth investigating.

Perchy, yep will keep an eye on that.

Gwithian Farm is good.
It's about a 10 minute amble from the dog-friendly section of Gwithian beach.
The Red River Inn is over the road and there are a couple of good cafes within 10 minutes walk.
It's about 7 miles from St Ives and a regular bus runs there if you don't fancy driving and trying to park.

18 months age we went to John Fowler site at widemouth bay near Bude, it is a commercial site with a cub house etc but the touring fields are just far enough from this to be quiet, it also has a pretty good dog walk field. Nad some local beaches allowed dogs at certain times of the day

We've booked a week at Gwithian in July. It was recommended to us.
