Does your deodorant cut the mustard in this weather ?

I'm using

deo

Its been fine but the last few days gone all stingy under the arms with it so in the bin it will go...

Any recommendations ? Aluminum free ? dont want to use the crystal stuff either

Please don't try to cut mustard with deodorant as its very messy !

I tend to use Right Guard 24 hour stuff and it's fine, but I don't sweat that much.

If I've got to travel in a suit, I often use that aluminium stuff so that I don't get to my meeting looking like Michael Douglas in Falling Down.

Dove

Right Guard

L'Oreal

All seem to do the trick for me.

Unfitgeezer, what is your problem with the crystal stuff? Genuine question.

There is stuff called Trust, you can get it from Boots though may have to order it. Its like a paste, you put it on in the evening and works for 5 days. Worth a try.

The trick is to put the deodorant on before bedtime. Your morning shower will not wash it off and you
Will still get protection from what you applied. Reason this works
Is that you sweat less at night and therefore what you apply gets into the pores.

You should also trim your armpit hair as well, otherwise, you just
coat the hair rather than the skin.

I use a sure stick deoderant and by following the above works a treat

Lynx - the oval stick, not the roll-on stuff.
24-48hrs with no issues at all.
Helps to use a simple soap(eg Shield), NOT shower gels, bodywash, etc as they all leave a residue on your skin to "leave you feeling soft/smelling nice"

I use odaban, avaliable from amazon. You do have to follow the instructions or its uncomfortable but just a tiny squirt once or twice a week works for me and doesn't muck up my clothes.

That Maine stuff rips my pits to shreds. Used once in US, never again.

Gillete coolwave gel does the trick - I hope!

Crystal rocks etc also great IMO

Salt stick thing does the job and no smelly stuff, blasting chemicals into your pores isn't very good for you really.

Milk of Magnesia - never tried it but heard it mentioned.

Then again that's just another metal salt.

I find that when I wash my pits with real soap and then apply a drop of two and rub it around of Tea Tree oil that works too. However it's been shown that TT oil is absorbed into your blood in 30 minutes.

Sure, Rightguard, Nivea, Dove etc....any of the popular antiperspirant deodorants are fine....i have experienced some unsightly facial sweating recently so bought some Maxim Wipes which have Aluminium Chloride 15% and stop any sweating completely....stings like a mo**erfu***r when applying though!

That's probably what the Victorians used to do. Before deodorant was invented! 😆

I just don't smell very much - probably because I have a very healthy pescitarian diet 🙂

In light of Mel Smith's demise, anyone dig up a YouTube link to the NTNoN Swedish chemist sketch?
