Can you get a hub that takes a usb input and converts it to bluetooth?
Am wondering if I can convert my ant+ usb stick to a bluetooth output. I know it would probably have to be a powered device.
My tablet only has one usb which is also used to charge it and the powered otg cables I've tried only power the usb dongle not the tablet, so thought I could see if you can convert the usb ant+ to bluetooth which would leave the tablet usb free for charging.
Google brings up loads, but I've not looked into whether they do exactly what you want
Are you sure the device you are trying to connect only supports Ant+?
e.g. I was recently given a Garmin vivofit 2. It connects to the PC using a Ant+ USB dongle, but connects to my phone via Bluetooth Smart.
You're talking about something with bluetooth and USB host capability. I think the only thing which will do that is a phone or tablet!
What exactly is the issue with plugging it into the tablet? Sure you can't have ANT+ and charge at the same time, but how long do you need ANT+ running for?
Yeah it's not a massive issue but would just mean I don't have to worry about how charged up the tablet is.
usb input and converts it to bluetooth?
No, the protocols/bandwidth involved are very different.
