You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Our plans have been scuppered by Covid-19 so the net has been cast wider looking for somewhere to live. There are a couple of options on the north side of Loch Ness (and a load further north) so I was after some idea of living in that area (and riding).
Any locals?
Pretty sure @sweep is in that area.
There are certainly some trails in the forest near Drum and you have the Great Glen Way and Affric Kintail way passing through. Always struck me as a nice place to live but be aware that it is over-run with tourists much of the year. Not only does it house two Nessie exhibitions, there is also Urquhart Castle. I used to drive up and down the A82 most days. Not fun in the summer with coaches, motorhomes, timber lorries etc.
Where else were you thinking of? South side of Loch Ness is a much more pleasant place to be.
Have a look at Nev Cartledges most recent videos on YouTube, a very sobering watch. I obviously don't know your circumstances but just so you know what may be in store.
All the best whatever you decide.
We are needing tourists to make a living!
Will take a wee look though.
