You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Some of you know that for about 6 years mrs_oab has been working her way through a challenging system and set of circumstances (no longer 'qualified', so could not get a job. But to get 'qualified', you have to teach. Chicken and egg.)
.
Basically, after all this time the powers that be have finally agreed that they should recognise some of her previous teaching experience in England ( 🙄 ) and that they should have been more pragmatic about it from the first day, and that the goal posts keep moving.
.
So we have an email confirming that at the end of term, subject to all her records being upto date, mrs_oab will at long last meet the Standards for Full Registration.
.
Whooop! to her job being being automatically made permanent, less paperwork and a pay rise off probationary scale... 8)
What country are you in that doesn't recognise an English qualification? seems very odd that there isn't some sort of equivalency. Still maybe they have seen sense now! ( are you in the USA by any chance? ).
Scotland.
Finally!!! Congrats
I think the authorities in the country concerned are even more isolationist than the USA....
EDIT: congratulations, well done for not giving in!
Congrats.
And as a teacher with 16yrs experience in England who would like to move 'home' one day that's encouraging news!
Oooh shake it Matt shake it 😆
As long as they don't revoke all non Scottish qualifications post independence!
shoosh you.
They would have a revolt on then...I am surprised they do not already..!
Excellent news! Congrats mrs oab!
Viedo of your dance or it didn't happen.
Congrats by the way.
Now to press it home for compensation for stress and lost wages!
hurrah!
