Are numbers for WhatsApp based on mobile phone number? That doesn't look like a UK format number - sets off the spidey-sense to me

Whatsapp doesn't require a UK number to contact, so if the person is trying to sell parts in other countries then Whatsapp is a handy way to make contact as you enter that number and send a message to it - assuming it isn't a scam then they'll respond (based on time of day/night where they are it might not be instantly). It doesn't cost any more to contact a foreign number in Whatsapp as it is all data based and comes out your data allowance (or free if using a wifi connection).
What are you after OP? I've got an AC wheel with a failed (and now unavailable) freehub so could split it.
