Not going to bother NHS with this do its down to you lot.

Weirdest thing, once a day, everyday usually early evening or just getting into bed I get a really short sharp pain in my left little toe, really painful but lasts a nano second and goes.

Can grab my toe wiggle it and it's fine, no pain nothing afterwards and won't happen again until the next day

Just odd!

WTF is wrong?

It's magnetodog. He moves at the speed of sound as you know, so I reckon he's just catching his paw on your tootsie as he flies past on his way to fight crime.

Probably.

Just as you suspect deep down, it's the bad, feline type I'm afraid. Put your affairs in order and send me your best bike

Is there a small piece of lego by the side of your bed?

....or it's a nerve being twanged when you climb up to your bunk bed.

Are you pregnant? Spider bit you on the toe and now you are up the duff.
Think you should transfer to Mums Net

It's the alien probe embedded in your brain. Whenver it reports back on what you've been doing for the day, it triggers a nerve ending somewhere.

A tin foil hat should cure it.

If the Mods didn't spend there time watching Eurovision and tended to the needs of the members as in the terms and conditions and LCD and TCP of this forum, then maybe the OP wouldn't need to have his leg chopped off and his tv and bike given away

Rise up fellow members and contact your local gas board to complain

Don't know how i'm going to transport the OPs fridge freezer to my place. I don't have a basket on my bike 🙁

Some of the black holes created inside the Larger Hadron Collider obviously have super symmetry with your big toe - the sharp pain is them popping in and out of existence.

Pain lasting a split second you say...?

Is there a patch of skin on your forearm the size of a 50p where it feels tingly twice a year?

Definitely the key symptoms of the big C. (Cat AIDS, not the other one...Jeesh)

DrP

Real answer..don't know. I've actually got shout the patients with similar. The human body is weird.

Every now and then I get a shooting pain the rissole, makes me sit bolt upright.

Last time it happened in a classroom while I was talking to someone, I had to find an excuse PDQ, heh.

OP- do you drink a lot of coffee?

For me, high coffee intake seems to cause shooting pains.

However, if it's getting into bed that's causing it, I'd guess it's the action. Why not try the getting-in maneuver in another way, say from the other side, or the other direction so as not to perform the same movements?
