Here is the Southern Daily Echo write up for the Southampton Bike Park Jam at the weekend
"Hundreds of acrobatic cyclists converged on Southampton to display their daredevil skills. People from as far afield as London attended the Southampton Bike Park Summer Jam, which was held at the city's outdoor sports centre in Bassett.
The long, rectangular course offered fun-loving teenagers an exciting combination of sharp curves, steep ramps, and equally steep descents. Cyclists repeatedly took off, twisting their bikes from side to side in midair before returning to earth a split-second later. Cries of "Oh My God!" and other exclamations could be heard as some of the less experienced riders faced up to the challenge. A few decided to bypass the larger obstacles."
I am really pleased they covered it and that they did so in such a positive way but the descriptions made me smile.
It sounds like it was written by a colleague of Jacob Rees Mogg 😂
Sounds like a kid wrote it, it is work experience time so may add up.
That's quite a marvellous description! Like it was written by someone visiting from another planet 😀
And Fun-loving Teenagers only eh?

The reality....

I must look younger in my riding gear 🙂
Looks like they got chatGPT to write it…
This. There's something... non-human about that phrasing.

Just about every article in my local rag is written by the "Trainee Reporter".
Presumably it's a correspondence course taken over decades as there doesn't seem to be much in the way of tangible progress.
Also in that edition: "...using strategy and skill the England rugby team managed to defeat Wales by passing the oval shaped ball backwards to their team members and touching it down over the opponents goal-line. Players were often roughly knocked to the ground... etc" 😀
In my head, these are my rides.
The reality….

Im sure he's on this site 😆

My signature move when I'm trying to give my split-seconds of airtime some steeze.
Have they hired Dan Brown?

That is literally making me cry with laughter through my eyes. Brilliant.

I have never read Renowned Author Dan Brown before and now I don't think I ever will I surmise, like a heron spearing a small fish 🙂

The critics said his writing was clumsy, ungrammatical, repetitive and repetitive.
Excellent work! 😀
Hmm, perhaps I should have added that it was a small, 2 inch brown fish fighting the rapid current
Is there a Pathe news reel to go with this report?
You will have to imagine this in sepia with the voice over
