That two cyclists have been killed on a tandem in a 30 mph area in Bristol ?

Of course we care... Unless I have missed something fundamental!?

Yes, I care, as a human being and a cyclist.

There were at least two threads yesterday! No new details this morning AFAIK?

What about the 3 (at least) threads that started within an hour of it happening? 😕

Yes we care, do you care? Or do you care more about the fact that we care rather than caring about the actual incident?
It is a strange question..

It happened at the weekend when I think traffic on here is probably lower, tbh.

It's a tragedy and I still can't understand why the OP has taken such a provocative line when raising it.

It's almost 'Never mind the event, let's have a row about how we reacted to it'. Sad.

as above. no new information overnight.
too little information in the first place.

chewing over a "what might have happened" thread with nothing but fanciful imagination isnt going to be much use to anyone.

Some sober reflection at least until the details emerge (if they ever do) would probably serve better for now.

He's obviously wanted everyone to know he cares more so he's better.

Although considering its been discussed a few times already, its a bit of a "I care more than you" Fail really.

Well the couple have now been named, and the story is a little different, but there's still not a lot to discuss. In any case I think a lot of people consider it a little distasteful discussing some aspects of such cases when people have died.

It turns out I don't know the couple in question (as I'd feared), but I'd be surprised if they weren't known to somebody I know. In any case two people have died - RIP.

maybe its a symptom of having thread titles like "do we care" with no reference to the topic.

Strangely, the OP even posted in one of the other threads.

Really? Your post is showing as 17 minutes ago as I type, the BBC news story was updated 23 minutes ago.

(sorry I'm just being argumentative - the names probably had been released before you posted, but only a few minutes before, so you'd have had to be really on the ball to notice).
