You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
That very much depends where you were going and what you were listening to... I tended to avoid those kinda clubs and those DJ's like the plague myself! There was still a brilliant slightly more underground scene going on back then though, you just had to know where to look
At the same time there was the competing Clownstep DnB scene. I don't know it felt like there was a definite dip in quality/innovation but improvement/sophistication of production values!
That's not to say it was all shit. I can knock up a playlist/mix of what I think was decent from back then but I doubt it would be completely cheese free without really trying hard and excluding all the big hitters.
Hanger 13 in Ayr is coming back for 2 nights in November. They're having a refit of Pirate Pete's in the Pavilion, so once it's stripped out, Streetrave go in for 2 nights then it gets refurbished.
I raved and clubbed all over England in the 90's, not Scotland, and I'm certainly not a fan of live PA's like you mention, but Streetrave have put some brilliant events on recently so this "homecoming" one could be quite special.
