I left a boring career with boring people 2 years ago. Been on a rollercoaster since looking for other opportunities, some of which might bare fruit soon, but might not. And if they do they are not guaranteed to please and excite and certainly won't pay very well.
Now I have an opportunity to go back to said previous career on decent money with a decent bunch of people, ie not the previous bunch of slack-jawed faggots.
Money appeals, holidays appeal, people sound good, solid company good benefits; actual work...hmmm not so much. but then, if i'm not riding bikes all day then sitting in an office is what (almost) any job (i'm bound to end up doing) will boil down to.
slack-jawed faggots
How nice you sound.

Harsh maybe, simply boring might have been better / kinder
this new job? will you enjoy it?
Go for the job - if it pays you OK you then spend the pay on the otherside of your life and make it balance.
Waiting for the perfect job will leave you waiting for the rest of your life unless you are really really luck.
Is the job a bar tender at the "Blue Oyster" club ??
Nah, slack jawed faggots sounds better.
I wonder what their nickname for you was...? 😉
i thought this was a thread lamenting the selling of a well known hardtail to buy a full susser, then finding that 'feel of the trail' and "reliance on skill' had been lost. thankfully not. sorry i cant comment on your post as i didnt read it. never the less 'good luck from a fellow biker' should do.
