plenty of people are, arguably most people in the UK are as we have a cultural, moral and legal framework that is broadly within a christian tradition. So I'm an thoroughbred unbaptised, unchristened atheist born too and brought up by uncristened atheists, but I'm an atheist who lives within a christian tradition, so I'm a Christian Atheist more than I'm a Hindu Atheist. (I think I'd probably find I'm a secular quaker)
By the same measure I know several folk who are practicing catholics, regular church-goers and active contributors to their church's activities who are also don't have an ounce of faith or belief. They don't believe in a god of any sort but they enjoy and value their participation in religion
