Any one made their own? I've got a multitude of tools, an 3metre slide, swing etc. Just need some inspiration!
Any dos and donts or recommendation for ideas ?
Thanks in advance

Washing line, a big tarpaulin and some bricks.

T'were good enough for me when I were a lad.

All I would say i 'do it'. My grown up kids still talk about their playhouse from 15/ 20 years ago.

Did one two years ago. Probably massively overbuilt but holding up really well. It’s loosely based on the Rogue Engineer plans.

That's some top work simon.

I built this raised playhouse and slide about 15 years ago, long gone now but was well used, things to consider are making sure nowhere they can trap heads / arms, assume they are going to fall onto anything poking out or fragile etc. It did get a side window they couldn't lean out of.

Here's my effort - not strictly homemade, but quite a bit of effort went into it...

First of all we had the old playhouse (which we originally received and refurbished as a Freecycled item) and I built a platform for it (as the garden sloped heavily).

Then I moved it onto the new platform and added a second playhouse (which had previously been at my girls' grand-parents house)...

I then cut a hole through...

The (almost) finished article - I added guttering between the two with a soakaway behind. It hasn't leaked in three years.

At the end of the year it is being removed and replaced with a greenhouse as the girls have now just about grown out of it.
