Daughter's phone screen is smashed so I'm looking at DIY repair or send it off. I've seen good reviews for love phone, but their postal service is off due to the 'flu'. Anyone DIY'd and is it relatively easy? Any reccs for a decent screen as they'll be non-Apple? I'm guessing the ones with camera and speaker attached are easier.
Or, recommendations for postal repair. Thanks.

What model is it? 6 and 6s are easy. Guess 7 and 8 are similar.

I have done it on a 6s, and replaced the battery at the same time. IMO I wouldn't bother doing it myself again, while it isn't complicated it is very fiddly, some of the screws are like grains of sand sizewise. It only cost 10 quid more to get a man in a shop to do it.

MSP - I hear you, but no 'man in the shop' in rural Cumberland.

The 7 is where the waterproofing was improved and as a result there's some fun to be had with unsealing the thing. Have a look at iFixit.com for what's involved, once you've bought the extra bits to make it all happen it may well be cheaper to mail it into a man that can @wysiwyg of this parish can help out.

Done. A bit fiddly and it looks like someone had been in there before (SH phone), as one of the tiny screws was missing. Easier than rebuilding a Shimano trigger shifter.... Cheers.
