We have a chipboard particle board floor i.e. sawdust and glue. I want to seal it before laying down self adhesive vinyl tiles.
From what I can see on google:
Good clean,
Coat of watered down PVA,
A coat of paint - but what type?
Any help much appreciated.

Modern chipboard is water resistant...although I'd still use a PVA before tiling.

no need to paint on top of the pva or is the pva good enough to seal?
