An agent who I am actually quite fond of set me up with an interview at a company. Now recently, I have been in a caffeinated (cocaine has been tempting) nightmare surrounded by mountains of loose paper full of chicken scratch mathematics as I realized that I had made a mistake in some of my statistics coursework (for an evening graduate certificate) that is due on Thursday.

I need an excuse. Not for the company, for the agent?

The dog ate my homework? Owned by bombers? Brexit? I'm a ****ing mong that probably forgot that a minus a minus is a positive?

Can I give them gifts or is that counted as corruption?

Can you send somebody else, are they likely to check ID?

Attach some £20 pound notes to the inside and hope they don't notice

The truth , you have an assignment to do and late notice and you can’t fit in an interview could it be put back a few days, yes or no

The truth. If a half decent recruiter he will support you and explain to his client.

By agent I thought you meant the whole, you know, 007 kind. As that would alter things a lot.

Be honest. Good agents are very hard to come by and very easy to lose. I like people to be honest with me so I think it only fair to be honest with them too.

You're already doing the right thing by procrastinating on STW. 🙂

Tell him that you're a part-time Superhero and on your last outing you damaged your Lycra outfit. You need to stay in to fix it, (you're a damned fine sewing machinist too), to be ready to fight the bad guys the next time.
I'm sure they will understand.

just had an interview pushed back by the company which is a pain for me but it happens, dont see why you can't ask to put it back a day and just say you have an assessment for your certificate that you can't change. And hope neither read singletrack 😉

I rescheduled an interview once. Told them why and they were cool. Ended uo working for them for 20 years. Good test of how much your future employer values you

Better than a guy that came for an interview at our place, didn't turn up first or second times then was late on the third attempt!!
