The spray arm in the dishwasher has come apart. It's a two piece design that prob needs a bead of sealent/adhesive. What's up to the job?
any silicone sealant should be fine way above dishwasher operating temps.
Although I thought the sprayer arm would have been heat welded together at manufacture.
I think you are probably right Stoner. It looks perfectly gluable, which is preferable over a new arm.
Im sure it is. I as long as a decent void in the middle is preserved for water flow, Id run a bead just inside and onto the lip all the way round. Clamp it with lots of little clamps the full length, let it cure and then trim back with a knife once it's gone off.
Sounds good Stoner. Adhesive wise, what will like hot water and be available in B&Q?
no idea. Id just use some silicone lying around in the workshop initially.
If you're going out to find a particular adhesive Id just go through the whole lot reading packet backs till I found something about right.
Zip ties are also your friend.......
Well....I got some stuff from b&q but failed to read its no good on polypropylene. However, Zip ties are indeed my friend T1000! Works a treat, nice one.
Old knife and blow torch/gas hob to heat it and try and 'weld' the edges back together. Not pretty and can be smelly but done quite a few repairs that way. A variable temp soldering iron works a treat too.
