Just got a new dishwasher and the waste pipe is male fitting, where they're usually female fitting so you can shove it over the ribbed male fitting on the sink waste.
Now I have two ribbed male fitting and have no idea if there's any sort of connector that will push onto both and join them....
Anyone come across this before?
looks like the ones on my Miele dishwasher and washing machine.
I have used 2 different solutions.
For the washing machine I just stuck it down into the 30mm waste pipe.
For the dishwasher I used a nozzle connector to the waste pipe and a Jubilee clip to secure it.
Seems there are adapters that might let you do what you normally do.

I had the same issue recently when I replaced a damaged hose with a new one. Only when I went to fit the hose to the drain did I realise that I had a male to male connection.
This is what you need....
(Not sure why it is an ebay.us link)
Cheers all.
I went down to b&q to see if they had anything, and got a piece that screws into the ribbed hose and then has a female end. Tested it on the old broken dishwasher and it fit so cut the male end off the new waste pipe and guess what?
It's a different ****ing size!!
So now I need to order an 18mm one as b&q only do 19 & 22mm ones.
Or buy a female to female adaptor and the bit that peekay has linked.
This was supposed to be a 10 minute job....

On the positive side, glad it's pretty easy fix. 👍

(This is where that odd little icon in the bottom right comes in handy)
Cut the male hose tail off at the line where the grey changes colour, I’d bet that it is also rubber from then on, then you have a rubber female end to attach.
