What do you use to really clean light coloured cycling kit well on a 30 degree wash?
Cheers
1st one to say the wife/Mum/etc is a knobber 😉
I use non-bio fairy tablets.
Only as my cycling gear states no bleach or enzymes and 30 degrees C.
Halo sports wash from Sainsburys (just don't use on leather or wool because it says not too) but I have once or twice 😆
I don't buy light coloured cycling kit, especially for MTB... for exactly this reason.
Sorry, I know that doesn't help!
Persil and vanish oxy action stuff. Gets stuff clean enough to go MTBing again.
John your a knobber for buying light coloured kit that you think will stay bright after riding a fat bike.
Big tyres = big skid marks 😀
Halo if necessary but really....I like it dirrty
Hose it down, wash at 40c decent powder.
+1 for not buying light coloured kit, my white tops are for dust days only
Persil non-bio does the trick, but I don't have any cycling kit that is "light"
Halo.
Non bio. NON BIO. NON BIO. NON BIO!
Wish my missus read that before she ruined my waterproofs.
*sigh*
Halo.
And everything goes in on the synthetics 40 cycle. Even the Rapha stuff. No apparent damage and the machine doesn't smell after a few weeks and need a maintenance wash.
I just put everything in on a 30C synthetics wash. Some of the welded seam clothing will be damaged at 40 C and it doesn't necessarily work better than 30C for removing some types of mud - 20 years of CX racing wearing white and yellow club kit teaches you quite a lot about washing clothing. If it is very muddy then rinsing in cool water in the sink first helps both to prolong the life of your washing machine and make the wash better.
Cheers all.
I'll try some Halo on 30 degree
then occasionally on 40 degree if needed.
