Got a sage & onion chicken in the oven with sticky-sweet potatoes & baby leeks.

Got a beef & many bean stew on the hob.
Up 'til midnight for that. Need the Guiness to reduce in :-).

Need inspiration for performing culinary wonders tomorrow.

PIE!?

They were doing pies on the bake off tonight

I've kept it simple with a leek, potato and Stilton soup and crusty bread tonight. Lovely 🙂

Cheated with pub food tonight. Away with the family self catering. Can someone please explain why no self catering accomodation EVER supplies SHARP cooking knives. Have had to buy a kitchen knife today so I can cook tomorrow.

Vegetarian chilli out of Hughes new veg book (definitely worth buying), griddled yoghurt flat breads (amazingly easy to make), sour cream, salad, grated cheddar and mixed rice - yummy.

I can't claim to have made it though as I was working - was the other halves handy work.

pear and stilton? sounds interesting, i've had last nights risotto warmed up, it went ever so slightly burnt on the bottom, mmm, cheesy.

Hughes (sic) new veg book (definitely worth buying)

I'm banned from using my copy after giving me and Mrs North food poisoning by leaving quinoa and courgette out in the sun all day....

Pork fillet cut into slices > marinate in thai spices/creme fraiche > 180deg for 20 mins. Serve with salad of choice. Job done.
