Do they exist?

Something with a deeper seat to support a longer thigh as well as the seat being higher from the ground.

if the seat was higher from the ground it'd be the wrong height for the table, no?

You could prop the table up at their side to give them more room.

Yeah. And then used wedge-shaped table mats to stop the soup spilling.

Add gelatine to the soup to save the bother.

... actually, I'm not sure I've ever seen a tall person eat soup.

Hmmm, makes you think.

I assume they don't eat peas either.

Only when mushy.

Same with potatoes, but a different vowel.

What about if there was more than one tall person at the table or do they only eat with short people?

I was actually planning to use the chair as a non moving office chair.

The seat depth being the main thing i was looking for as height could be adjusted more easily diy if needed

Could you not get the floor lowered?

I have a friend who has a non moving office chair. He works for a company that sells pens and paper.

Interesting thread. Being a tall person (6'5") I've never felt the need to have a taller dining chair. You're normally only sat there and hour or two and can get up to stretch legs.

As others have said you'd need a taller table as well.

edit: Missed the update post. My office chair has a feature that allows the seat to slide forwards or back, giving you more support for your thighs.

Maybe buy an office chair and replace the castors with something like these? - https://www.vital-parts.co.uk/castor-tower-glides---cst023-10202-p.asp

Draftsman chairs are normally tall and fixed. (Think office chair with no wheels and taller)

Hmm. I’ll go back to the orangebox which has many set up options, finding the right one is the problem.
