I've been asked to get one as a present for someone. I have no idea what's good or bad. Anyone got one or can recommend a good one?
I reckon it will be consigned to the bin after a year....
still got to buy one though.

I don't think they're in the bin, but that said I don't really have any idea where any of the three we've been given have ended up. Back of a drawer would be my best guess...
I reckon a cheap android tablet in slideshow mode is much more useful
Does anyone do this?
I have to stick up for the digital photo frame! We got one (a Kodak) a couple of years ago, and love it - its a constant reminder of the photos that you'd store on a pc and never look at. My dad also bought one because he liked ours so much and they use it a lot too!

Thanks - which model was it?
Don't do it, they're awful things.
We were given one. We may as well have been given an empty photo frame to stick on the shelf the number of times it been on.
Tech out of the ark.
But to be usefull I'd sugest it would need a minimum of the following.
- Timer to turn it on and off automatically when you need it
- Wireless auto-sync to your photo library
- An infinite life power source that doesn't require a cable trailing to a plug somewhere
I bought my wife one...it's still in the box.
Actually, she might have ebay'd it.
