Tried zwift recently and my occupation struggles with it. It runs in basic graphics buy it isn't smooth so am going to get a graphics card.
Do I just get a basic one like a nvidia 730 that will run it in medium, or should I spend a bit more and get one like a 1050 to get the higher quality graphics.
Basically is there much difference between the different evels?

There is, there's better textures, shadows and increased detail but whether any of it matters only you can decide?
If you're thinking of buying a half decent graphics card purely for Zwift I'd probably look at a 4K Apple TV instead.
it is very pretty at the higher gfx levels but im fairly happy with low res on the macbook.
depends if you do anything else with the PC, if not then id be looking at a appleTV (the newer ones will do 4k if your TV supports it)
(in my opinion) Don't go overboard on graphics
The game graphics don't really alter the "experience". Mostly you'll be too busy pedaling to look around at the scenery (and I don't think it ever becomes graphically amazing anyway). Unless you have very different reasons for zwifting compared to most of us, all you (well, me anyway) need is smooth running at lowish levels
I run mine at a low level, the graphics are the least of the things i think about in a Zwift context... couldn't be less important really.

This. I'm too busy breathing out of my backside and feeling sick to notice how well rendered the trees are.
