I went out last night with my wife and another couple.
We’d had a couple before we got to the restaurant, where I couldn’t see a beer that I would like. The other bloke recommends some IPA, I find it agreeable. I have four and an Irish coffee.
Woke up this morning and to quote Blackadder, my head felt like there was a Frenchman living in it.
I eventually googled the beer in question.

Bugger......
Good work that man!
Yep, that will do the job. What was it?
I got caught out with Jopen on draught in Holland.
Finished work, went to the hotel bar with a right thirst on, drunk several large, (500ml), Jopen's pretty quickly. Really drinkable, not harsh or strong tasting. Must of had 4 in less than 90 minutes.
Turns out it was about 7%.
That's like drinking 8 pints of session ale before 8 at night.
BANG!
Did similar once with 7 pints of Elgood's Double Dog at 6.5%, rather than my usual Guinness at 4.1%.
Bizarrely I can't find any mention of the beer online?
It was Coast To Coast IPA, but not the Caledonian one - it was the 50 degrees West version.
Im still feeling a bit shady now.
Did he have a nice fruit bowl?
Yes, it came in a bowl-shaped glass. Alarm bells should have been ringing at that alone, but I didn’t heed the warning.
Where was that Dan?
Anything below 9% is a sports drink.
