Yes I’m an idiot, yes I was working on the bike at 11:30pm, and no, big flat screwdrivers are not the ideal tool with which to remove old and tight handlebar-grips.
So a trip to A and E this morning and all of a sudden 90% of my NY resolves are unborn.
Can’t drum more
Can’t cycle more (at all)
Can’t work more
Can’t spring clean
Can’t use walking poles to walk more
Etc

Broke my pelvis midway through november, spent best part of a week in hospital.
Christmas was exceptionally dull. Drank too much, decided to cut back.
Was on the beer by half way through the 1st of Jan.
I do still have the nice bottle of Whisky I received as a present unopened, so not failed completely.
Hope the thumb heals fast.
