I missed it myself first time round, I saw the stuff from Aldi and so on but not the original

anyway, this total LEGEND went viral

We had Lego versions

Henry jumped on it

THere were adverts (though this may only be a mockup from what I read)

image.png

There was even a shot that I can't find right now of a lifesize cardboard cutout wearing police gear in an Aldi as "store security"

Props to the guy

I'm going to come across as a miserable **** here, and I'll put it as nicely as a I can, but I have no time for these "viral" people. It always feels like everything I know about them has been against my will. Hawk Tuah, Bonnie Blue, this guy... the list is endless sadly.

Normally I'd agree (especially with Bonnie Blue and Lily Phillips*) but this guy didn't set out to go global. He just happened to be sauntering around at a party at someone filmed him, uploaded it - then it all went a bit bonkers.

And if companies were chucking loads of money at you I'm sure you turn it down on principal!

He's enjoying his 15 minutes of fame so fair play to him.

(*genuinely she was in my daughters year at Primary School - and were friends!).

and the 100k USD from $BOSS meme coin trading fees. Then there’s all the appearance fees for the next couple of years…

Its a very strong look indeed. He seems to have tweaked it a bit since the original pics and its not quite as effective.

Is there any difference now?

The advent of social media and phones makes the modern dance scene look proper naff.

Although looking at 90s rave clips it isn't quite as cool and edgy as I remember it...

Will Henry vacuums do a blue Bonnie Blue version, perhaps with extra strong suction and once you turn it on you can't turn it off for 1000 hours?

Just seen an article reckoning he’s made over £800k since it all kicked off.

"Absolute legend" - there's one for words and phrases that incur a lifetime ban. Usually refers to something entirely unworthy of attention.

Link?

That's a lot higher than $125k reported in a few other places.

Still, its one way to capitalise on your 15 minutes.

Fraid not, was just skimming LinkedIn

The 100ish k was just from transaction fees on his meme coin, I think.

Standard meme driven hype coin practice.

There was a glut of trade volume in the first few days but it looks deader than corduroy now.

Not sure how the trade fees are sliced between exchange and bowl haircut man. I don't know enough on crypto.

I thought this guys 15 minutes had ended a good few weeks ago.

He was all over social media .. then disappeared as quickly.

Apparently he had a few dropped stitches on the back of the bonnet which didn't give hope tobthe longevity anyway.

I don't get how this kind of pump n dump is legal. It's a ponzi scheme - first in the door pay money to me, and they rely on later people paying them, and it's then a case of who's left holding this imaginary coin when it's suddenly worthless

Memecoins mostly profit the developers who go around looking for 'celebs' to shill. Said celebs know nothing more than 'if you tweet X we will give you $Y'.

He still seems to be kicking around on Instagram, but with the Ibiza season coming to an end, I suspect the interest will die down.  I did hear him on one video saying he worked in civils with his dad before this all kicked off.

I wonder if he has been sensible with the money earned and put it in sound long term investments, in the event the bubble bursts on his popularity.

Does a Range Rover SVR  count as an investment?

I can see HMRC watching that documentary. Think of the tax being taken…

Aye, his £800k earned is more like £450k, minus an SVr and haircuts

SVR and haircuts are surely tax deductible? In fact, surely everything he spends is on building his image, even down to food. So it's all deductible.
