So I was cruising on the motorway in the Audi lane in my Audi, when all of a sudden undercover police come flashing behind me and pull me over on to the hard shoulder. I was speeding and apologised (not sure it was going to make much of a difference) I was offered a seat in the back of the Insignia and was given a stern warning, telling off and told to go. I tipped the officer £10 for their time.
Was this enough?
How much do you tip when you get caught?
It's like people can't even be bothered anymore...
Apparently 1000 in cash is the going rate for a security cleared specialist officers integrity.
Usually 50% of the actual fines ... whatever the amount should be ... 😆
In other part of the world they would charge you with bribery if the payment is not enough.
Nottingham?
If that's in chronological order, you wasted a tennerI was offered a seat in the back of the Insignia and was given a stern warning, telling off and told to go. I tipped the officer £10 for their time.

Regardless of order, sadly, you seem to be wasting our time 🙁
Just be lucky it was a junior grunt driving an insignia that pulled you over, £10 is pretty fair.
Imagine what you'd need to pay the proper officers in the unmarked M5's and the like? - i guess they'd expect a masonic handshake and at least £100.......they'd probably escort you to the next Services and demand a Burger King drive through Whopper meal and super size shake as well.
If you gave them a tender, go and check your coat pocket quick, cos they will have planted some coke, and will be coming smashing your door it at 0500
Well I had to 'tip' the nice officers €90 when I got pulled over in France.
Considering the speed I was actually doing I was very happy with the little arrangement.
I assume the £10 was so they could clean up after you finished them off.
I heard the Audi lane takes you back to the future if you go fast enough 😯
The Gendarmes charged me €22 for riding my bike a few years ago, and I thought I got off lightly TBH. It was the €200 euro that I then got charged for the gallon of diesel that I was fetching that hurt.
The Gendarmes were very nice about it, after fining me they kept coming back to make sure I [s]hadnt moved[/s] was ok until the breakdown man arrived.
I had nothing but good thing to say about them all, as I think they did about me 😆
It would have bought them lunch for a day and a half, due to cuts in their expenses. 😉
