Lenticular clouds I think they're called. Very cool 8)
Definite alien landing.
Aliens !!
Oh, I thought they had a permanent settlement covering most of North Wales, with normal folks driven out years ago.
We did discuss whether they were arriving or leaving! 😉
How was it?
I'm down for a few days in the week, hopefully.
🙂
The second loop was wet (no surprise) but it rode fantastically well. The new bits feel a bit out of place to me but it's only replacing a section of fireroad.
First time I've been in 3 years. Loved it!
I think you've mistaken aliens for Scousers. 😉Oh, I thought they had a permanent settlement covering most of North Wales, with normal folks driven out years ago.
Are the new sections on loop one or two?
Have never been able to make my mind up about loop 2. Feels like it's just there to add distance without being particularly interesting.
New sections are on loop 1. A few cracks and breakages too in the early groomed bits so be careful when landing the jumps and making the quick turns after.
I loved loop 2 yesterday to be honest. First time I've really "got it".
Rusty - there is a trail closure on the 3 descents just before loop 1 joins loop 2 which diverts you onto a fireroad descent (horror of horrors) but DON'T attempt to ride the closed sections or you'll end up scaling a mountain of felled logs before climbing up a near vertical cliff face with a bike over your shoulder.
Not that we did that. Oh no.
It was too windy in North Wales for even aliens to land yesterday 🙁
That traverse section where you rejoin loop one was bonkers windy 😯
The cwm at the back of Penmachno was howling yesterday!

Definitely jacket back on at that point!
Saw the same clouds near Chester yesterday and came to the same conclusion.... aliens.
They came over Wrexham as the wife commented on one looking like Homer.
Expect to see knocked off flying saucers if theyr'e heading to scouseland.
