I planted this

a few months ago.

It grew well to start with, a good colour and lush leaves. Now it looks like this 🙁

Any ideas what's wrong? There's no bugs, and I have fed it a little. It's a 1 Quid rose from Tesco.

Apart from the risk of being trampled where it is, it looks like it might have been strayed with weedkiller. If it's dead in a week, that's your answer.

Looks like its suffering a bit from lack of water. Did you do anything to improve the soil when you planted it? Roses are very hungry plants so need more than a little food.

It's also to close to the existing shrubs, they'll be stealing most of the water and nutrients. And you bought it from Tesco for a £1.

Hah 😆 Yeah I guess.

I grew one much the same on the other side of the path for a couple of years, then when it was covered in 15 blooms, some git came and snipped them all off! That and the following blackspot killed it off completely grrr

Added food? No, I just pour fishtankwater and baby bio on it when I can. It was the sudden decline and the spots that worried me. It's been getting worse for a few weeks but took a sudden downturn, even before the hot weather.
