Driving home today on the A1 and her indoors asks me what id take so I said id take her ! she replied what about the children ? so now its you can't take people or any electrical items or items that generate power of any sort !
Im still at a loss as to what Id take so feed me some inspiration !
She said she would take her tea pot ! (you can always make tea out of some leaves on the island apparently ) or get Kevin Mcloud to bring some...

I'd take a big old knife or something sensible like that (assuming I'm not allowed a fully equipped luxury yacht).
Chambord has got it right, that would be my first choice, closely followed by fishing equipment.

Axe or machete, proper quality knife, fire-starting kit - Flint, etc. sewing equipment, or at least decent large needles, cooking kit - pots of a couple of different sizes.
Oh, and the means to keep sharp things sharp.
Without those things there's no easy way to construct shelter, or prepare and cook food. Fish hooks? Many oceanic cultures either don't have them, or fashion them from other materials, hence the need for a good sharp knife.
Spear/harpoon or bow and barbed arrows can be made.

Hammock; with the right plant fibres, from palm leaves or similar you could weave one of those, given time and lots of trial and error.

there was a series based around this called 'naked and afraid' two survivalists get dropped off on a desert island or some such place with one item each, and have to survive for 3 weeks. oh yeah and they are strangers and both naked.
