I Googled it. Unless Google knows something it's not telling me, a black gem is a gem, which is black.

I too have been a victim of malicious tagging and feel your pairn.

Perhaps we can start a mutual support group?

A bit of advice, ignore them and they go away or embrace them. Starting a thread letting them know that you are not happy with them is playing right into their hands.

as above - blackgem joined after appearign on a 'fat families' show a while back. Her son (Adam?) was shown riding a cheap bike badly and there were comments on here.

She joined to defend him and, despite a lot of stick, hung around for while making irrelevant posts about the minutae of her private life.

I think she got bored and left after a while.

It maybe the irrelevant posts bit that the tagger is trying to make a dig about?

Blackgem is/was/purported to be a mum who posted on here, didn't ride much but joined in on the banter. She did get a bit of a slagging IIRC, maybe for her weight.

May I remind this tedious individual that I have lost 3 stone in weight since I published a pic of my distended and bruised belly back in October 2009. Okay so I was a chubster. And now I am much less so. Perhaps you should get out and ride a bit too instead of seeing my username and peeing yourself with mischeivous excitement as you add your hilarious tag.

Thing is, I am assuming Drac can see who has gone done it and have a word. So not hard to sort? I do think some people do not realise they can be identified from their tags by the powers that be.

Sorry for slow reponse, I received this email.

I just saw Derek_Starships post on the forum there and was going to email him to apologise and give an explanation. However I see he has no email address so thought you may be able to pass this message onto him.

First up, it was never intended to insult him or cause any offence.

The reason I make the comparison is that I've been a member of the STW site for something like 8 or 9 years and I well remember Blackgem. At the time she got a fair bit of stick but I genuinely found her quite funny and she was a decent person. Her posts used to make me chuckle. Not laughing at her I must add.
Anyhow, Derek_Starship just struck me as being very similar. In that I chuckle at his posts. He's one of the STW characters, and a good one, just in the same way that Blackgem was. I look forward to what he will post next as it's always a good read.

Anyhow, sorry if I hurt his feelings.
