Immunity. Never had a problem until a few weeks ago.
Tried a few different brands nothing now works - pits just pour - very odd

Is this a round about way of saying you smell?

Probably a bit - Bike to work, shower 3 times a day.

Deodorants don't stop you sweating, anti-perspirants do that.

Tried, Sure, Dove, Nivea, RightGuard and others, convinced I'm immune to the active anti-perspiration ingredient

Oh right, sorry I can't help.

I'm allergic so have to use Pitrok, which stops my itchy armpits and most of my BO.

I hope.

I don't get it, i sweat like chuff when i'm doing exercise but not under the arms if i've got anti-perspirant on.

I mean they literally block your sweat holes don't they??

This used to be the case, literally until a few weeks ago - now nothing seems to work

Problem is I shower in the morning, ride to work and then shower at work. Ride home a then shower at home. Maybe it's over use and immunity has developed?

OP, stress/anxiety changed at all lately?

I am also wondering about endocrine upsets, ie you are a tiny bit ill and sort of "cold sweating"? Finally I remember in the "escape artist" Matt Seaton talks about sweating more once he became super super fit: have you been commuting by bike long, and are you getting quicker at it?

I would go see your GP anyway.

Not much more stress than normal, may be just a bit. Fitness is high for me, commuting daily 70miles per week mainly off road mtb -lucky me- could be increased fitness?

No, no changes to diet lifestyle etc. just trying a few different anti-persperant brands?

Maybe I've pushed a bit harder on the bike, but not much.

Turn the heating down at work .
You are trying to suppress a natural body function using
Probably toxic chemicals .

I used to literlly leak constantly from my pits, used to do my head in. Used Driclor and similar superstrong antiperspirants for a while and it had an immediate impact - it works very very well - I haven't used it for over a year now though and I hardly ever sweat under my arms any more - it's had a lasting effect.
My back sweats a bit more than before, but that's easier to manage.

I've had similar issues and have found that Sure is best, but you need to choose the right one, for me that is Sure Quantum which is best at keeping major sweat patches at bay. It also smells pretty reasonable and sounds a bit Bond-esque (quantum of solace, see?) Other Sure ones don't do the job, nor do any of the others mentioned above, I have tried most of them. I've stopped short of the driclor stuff, seems a bit full-on and a faff.

put it on when you go to bed, let your pits get some air to them so it dries in. don't put too much on or it will burn, and don't get it outside the hairy area or it will sting. well worth the effort for me.

it is very much about finding something that works for you though. I tried everything over a number of years and only driclor roll-on worked.
Mitchum gel roll-on caused my pits to blister and scab over - it wasn't pretty.

Had the same problem when the Gillette anti persp changed formula a few years back.
I've tried every spray on persp there is I think. The ted baker one or the cheapest boots anti persp ones were best but were still insufficient.

I now use either molton brown stick or even better the Lab series anti persp stick. Both are about £18 but last almost forever. I can go for at least 2 days between applications ( if I'm being a pleb and avoiding the shower) and biking or gym sessions result in no smelling or dripping pits.

Expensive to try but certainly worth it IMHO.

Shave your pits dude.. My.... Emm "mate" does it and says it works a treat. Also use sure extreme protection roll on. It helped me massively.

Don't ever ever ever put driclor on straight out of the shower in the morning. Used to use that stuff in my early 20's and doing that is one of the few things I remember from my uni days.... My god that hurt!

3 second blast in each pit.

I think that's too much, I was doing the same and found I was sweating more and more so was putting more on and sweating more. Have reduced it to the tiniest 'pffffft' from a distance rather than a close in blast and am pretty much dry all day.

I mix it up daily between a few different Sure Men 24hr flavours.

I was prescribed that stuff donkeys' years ago - I used to suffer badly from hyperhydrosis on my hands.

*pauses while you all run to google*

It worked, sure, but instead I ended up with hard yellow blistered skin. Obviously it must be different for everyone, but I'd suggest using it with caution.

Aside: in Theme Hospital, one of the diseases is 'sweaty palms'. Mate of mine wrote the game, and that disease is a nod to me. Thanks, I think.

Shave your pits dude.. My.... Emm "mate" does it and says it works a treat.

I did this on holiday in Florida one year out of desperation and was mortified at the time. The difference was incredible. I do it routinely now, not shaved shaved but using clippers to keep it at a short but manly length.

Look like you've got Don King in a neck hold , trim your pit hair, and use Mitchum. If that dont work driclur is great , i only use once or twice a year now.

Three showers a day and overspraying is too much, your body may well be "overcompensating".
FWIW I virtually never use the stuff... 😕
