Care to describe your experiences? Length of time in the procedure, recovery time, pain during procedure, pain afterwards, issues, side effects etc etc.

not pleasant, but less painful than a root canal filling
had mine ten years and genuinely can't remember which tooth it is without looking in a mirror and poking around
Not had any done but know some who have.
Book yourself a Hungarian holiday as they are much cheaper there.

IME it's only painful on your bank balance! I was lucky as under the German healthcare system it's partially paid for by the health insurance. The whole procedure took about three months with regular trips to the dentist but the process itself was pretty pain free.
