DeliVita Diavolo Pizza Ovens (12inch) - Anyone own one, or used one ? Currently £200, including gas regulator, pizza peel and thermometer. These look like a really good alternative to an Ooni. They have 20mins to get to 500, Ooni claim 15mins, but reading reviews it seems the Ooni claim is a bit ambitious. Think I prefer the look of the DeliVita and a much better overall bundle. Any feed back ? (buying for Nephew as his first pizza oven).

These are one of then first to be dual gas - Propane, or Butane, unlike the other ovens out there so an advantage for refills.

Should be absolutely fine, I have an Ooni Koda 12 it is very good but can’t see why that can’t produce a good pizza if it gets to 500c.

Ooni can also use butane but LPG is best in climatic areas like the UK.

Looks OK.
The only thing I would say is that if it takes longer to get to 500 then it may have a smaller burner which means it may take longer to build heat again between cooking pizzas.
But 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks Drac, I thought the same. They are all fairly similar design and get up to 500 degrees. Whilst I like the look of the Ooni, I do see it a bit "VW" where you are paying extra for the name/image/marketing etc. The DeliVita also comes as a handy bundle for £200, all you need extra is the gas bottle.

You can get a door for them too so, if it is an issue, one could be bought in the future? I have a lesser-known oven (Cozzee) and it is fine - produces pizzas as good as any I have seen out of an Ooni. Two years ago (when doing pizzas for a party of 20+) I got a door and it is a great addition, but no necessarily needed in normal conditions (although it does help it heat up much more quickly).

thatll be why they quote a longer heat time then.

but equally - butane compatibility isn't a selling point - utterly crap in winter due to the gas boil point of butane.

ooni koda worked fine on butane bottle i had lying about when i ran out of propane mid cook. - but it was summer.

the availibility of a Door - now thats a selling poiint . I often wish my Koda had a door - in the winter it would be massively helpful on the heat up time.

Before I got an official door for mine, if I was being impatient, I just stood holding my metal peel against the opening for a bit.

Always a first for everything, from disc brakes to a pizza oven.
