Is it worth going? Getting a bit bored of Cannock.

If the 9 year old is riding Cannock then the blue routes on their own will be very underwhelming, you need to find/know the off piste bits.

Which are also a bit spread out, and it tends to get claggy at this time of year, hard work for a youngster I'd think.

The blues are good for a blast but there's nothing really challenging, and as has been said, the off piste stuff up on old pale is grim this time of year, the surface is like glass when it's wet

She is only riding the blue (Perry's Trail) at Cannock and the skills area. I daren't take her on the red yet but reckon she could do most of it.

Ah, sorry I don't know Perry's trail. I'll describe the Delamere blues, hopefully it'll make it possible to make a comparison.

There's a 8(? Maybe 7 or 9) *it's 7!* sections of rollable hard pack with bumps and berms. All a few hundred meters long. Most are flat or gently up/down with the third section being a little steeper. 10km if you do all the sections, which are linked up by fire road transitions.

Helpfully I've posted a map here before on this thread.
